Helge Leiberg

Helge Leiberg was born in Dresden in 1954 and studied there from 1973 to 1978 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste. 1984 Move to Berlin-Charlottenburg. 1989 collaboration with A.R. Penck on mural in Hamburg. 1990 foundation of the group GOKAN. 2003 "Medea-Stimmen", with Christa Wolf, Salzburg Festival. In his work Helge Leiberg deals with the combination of different media such as film, music, film, dance and fine arts and implies in his works that the human being expresses his subconscious in his movements and reveals himself in his body language. Helge Leiberg captivates his running, jumping and bouncing figures on the canvas in a great way in short brush strokes and follows the figure with all painterly and graphic means. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
