Tim Bengel

Tim Bengel was born near Stuttgart in 1991. He lives and works both in his hometown and in Berlin. Tim Bengel became known for his sand-and-gold paintings. Using a unique collage technique, he creates large-scale works in a minimalist manner with photorealistic motifs from nature, architecture or the genre of portraiture. His intention is to create something new and unique through unusual combinations and techniques, to combine innovation and aesthetics in his artworks. In 2021, the artist made a splash with the iconic sculpture of the golden bagel "Who wants to live forever?" which became a highlight of Art Miami. In 2017, Tim Bengel became the youngest European artist to enter the international stage with a solo show in New York, followed by various exhibitions and fair appearances worldwide. In 2022, he celebrated success with his first solo exhibition in Seoul, South Korea. With a media reach of over 400 million people, he is one of the best-known German artists of his generation.

"Art should not provide all the answers, but should ask the questions."
