Exhibition: Mathias Hornung

We are delighted to present the works of Mathias Hornung. Born in 1965 in Tübingen, now living and working in Berlin, Hornung brings a unique artistic perspective.

Artistic Journey:
Hornung began his art career studying stage and costume design in Stuttgart. His work spans between two- and three-dimensionality, creating woodcuts and wood reliefs using simple, manual techniques. His structures resemble codes and topographies, reflecting an attempt to order the world through art.

Unique Technique:
Hornung prefers handcrafting his pieces, avoiding high-tech methods. He uses basic tools like carving tools, colors, and printing plates, giving his works an authentic, human touch.
