LIFE IN MOTION – VERENA GUTHER – JÜRGEN HEINZ

March 5 – April 29

Through color processing, montage of her own painting and photography, highly professional prints are created on the computer, which Verena Guther has produced using the Diasec process. With a clear, detailed eye, the artist brings out the specific aspects of each metropolis. In the condensation of motifs and structures, house facades, light reflections, streetscapes, groupings of people, captured in changing perspectives, form compact webs of urban realities. “It is not the place itself which arouses my interest, but the atmospheric peculiarity, which is palpable to me in all its complexity.”

With his MOVING SCULPTURES, Jürgen Heinz transcends the seemingly insurmountable gap between archaic, heavy steel and gentle movement. They communicate with the viewer, touch, captivate and call for action. “At first glance, the steel has a cold surface, but this takes on a completely different aspect through movement. This steel is then no longer rough and cold, but unfolds its soul. In this way, you can communicate with the sculpture, so to speak.”
